2.0 The 1ST-EDITION of COVID-19 STAY HOME ESSAY COMPETITION FOR NIGERIAN STUDENTS
2.1 ESSAY TOPICS (PICK A TOPIC)
Having the opportunity to stand before the United Nations General Assembly, make your recommendations to avert the imminent global economic recession occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic and suggest ways to come out of it.
Give your advice to the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on URGENT ways to strengthen the Health and Educational sectors using legislative interventions, bearing in mind the Nation’s current economic realities.
As a researcher in infectious and communicable diseases, give your advice to the three tiers of government on roles to play, policies to put in place and adoptable measures to ensure that diseases such as COVID-19 is contained on time with zero or minimal casualties.
Statistics have shown that thousands of Nigerians go into extreme poverty within short period of time, thereby increasing the alarming rate of unemployment.
Suggest short-term and long-term measures that will address this problem.
Also, identify the roles to be played by both the people and the government in achieving your goals?
Security of Lives and Properties remains the elementary role of any government.
In practical terms, what will you do differently to sustain this assertion, if you’re elected the President of the Nation or the Governor of your State.
Students of Nigerian origin and Students currently studying in any post-primary and tertiary institutions located anywhere in Nigeria are qualified to participate.

– Fresh Graduates CURRENTLY undergoing the NYSC programme are eligible to participate. Whereas you MUST provide your name, state code and PPA.
3.3 Participants are to pick one topic from the Topics provided. Every participant is to write The Essay in not less than 500 words and not more than 1000 words.

Thursday, 9th April and *CLOSES* on or before 11:59pm Thursday, 16th April, 2020.
